The Fate of the Furious… what’s next?

Over the past 15 years, The Fast and the Furious franchise has been a wildly successful series grossing a whopping 5 billion dollars and counting. So, is this latest installment just a plea to hold on the spotlight or are there more plans for this worldwide success? One thing’s for sure, we are excited to find out what’s in store for “The Fate of the Furious”. With a star-studded cast involved in the franchise, there is really no wonder at all why the movies have been as successful as they have been. It actually comes down to simple math at this point.

Throughout the years, fans have built a relationship and a trust for these characters and their real-life counterparts. More recently, The Fast and the Furious franchise decided to add on to its cast actors such as Dwayne Johnson, Jason Statham, and most recently Scott Eastwood; all Hollywood A-listers with a following of their own.

In the official trailer for the upcoming installment alone, we already see an epic submarine car chase. What else can we expect? Apparently, from wrecking balls going through cars to intense car chases, this latest release is putting action on the forefront. Dwayne Johnson was even seen redirecting a torpedo while sliding on the tundra (No, really, he was). And yes, only using one hand like a bad-ass. These are just a couple of examples of the excitement we can look forward to in “The Fate of the Furious”.

Sadly, there will be no Paul Walker in this latest movie, despite being nodded off in style in the last The Fast and the Furious film. The cast and crew did an awesome tribute video for Walker in collaboration with iRome, a Houston rapper, who also did a track titled “Fast & Furious Flow”. The outcome? A celebrity-packed collaboration, bringing the franchise and celebrity friends together to create a visually stunning tribute video for their fallen brother.

Whatever is in store next for the franchise, all we know is that we will be front and center waiting to see what happens. Don’t forget to get your tickets to go and see “The Fate of the Furious” coming out in theaters on April 14th, 2017.
